What Synerjy needed
The business has grown significantly since being established almost 20 years ago and the time came to relocate to larger premises. Synerjy had purchased an ideal property within a popular industrial area in Grimsby that, once refurbished, would enable to business to invest and expand its manufacturing range. With a pioneering product in mind, Nick Kirkham, Managing Director of Synerjy, wanted to enquire about financial support for the purchasing of equipment.
How E-Factor helped
Steve Parker, E-Factor Growth Hub Business Advisor, recommended the Growing the Humber grant and provided the essential contact details to Nick, who completed and submitted his own application. E-Factor were ready to answer any questions Nick may have had throughout the process. The grant application was successful and Synerjy were awarded £30,000 to go towards the manufacturing equipment for WarmCore – an innovative aluminium folding door and window system.
Synerjy have purchased, refurbished, and relocated to their new 15,000sq ft premises in King Edward Street, Grimsby. In total, the business has invested around £500,000. The WarmCore machinery has now been installed with products launching in the New Year. Already, Synerjy has expanded its team by employing three additional members of staff.
Nick said: “It’s a big thing to move from renting to purchasing a property, but with the new manufacturing space and new equipment, the process will be much more efficient. All it took was a phone conversation, E-Factor are easy to call when you need practical advice.”
